A slightly-lopsided New Year Honours List...
Sharon White, moving to John Lewis from Ofcom, becomes a Dame. Humphrey Burton, the BBC's first head of music and arts, is knighted. Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders becomes a CBE, as does Annie Nightingale, and critic Gillian Reynolds (last independent defender of BBC Radio).
The BBC's newly-installed Director of Creative Diversity, June Sarpong, currently at a conference in Ghana, gets the OBE, as do wine writer Oz Clarke and foodie Nigel Slater. Baker Nadiya Hussain, and cook Ainsley Harriot become MBEs, alongside Gabby Logan.
BBC Newsgathering trustie Sarah Ward-Lilley becomes an MBE, as does Joanna Abeyie, a trustee of the Media Society working on diverse recruitment.
There are no less than 29 honours associated with "Holocaust Education"/
