On the up

Scottish MSPs heard from the man leading development of BBC Scotland, Steve Carson, yesterday, and he was in bullish mood.

He said weekly reach for the channel in Scotland now stood at 17%; share was an average of 2.4%, and on some nights was higher than that of BBC2, Channels 4 and 5 in Scotland. BBC Scotland had the youngest profile of any BBC channel, and unique reach among young viewers, those who don't consume any other linear tv in peak, was close to 2%. Requests to iPlayer for programmes made specifically for BBC Scotland had risen 110%, to 50m ( I presume measured monthly).
