Hitched

It looks like BBC Scotland's old front door, on Queen Margaret Drive in Kelvinside, will shortly be reborn as a restaurant and wedding venue.

It started life in 1869 as a renaissance-style villa; was acquired in 1884, for Queen Margaret College, the first for women in Scotland; and in 1895, further developed into a women's medical school. The college closed in 1935, and the following year it was acquired by the BBC.  Part of the site has already been turned into luxury flats.
