Nice pair

In November 2016, Theresa May addressed the Spectator Awards, thus...

“I’m particularly pleased to see Craig Oliver is here tonight. Sorry, Sir Craig…

I understand that in his book on the referendum campaign, Craig says that when he heard the result of the referendum he walked out of the office, he walked into Whitehall and started retching violently. I have to say I think we all know that feeling. Most of us experienced it too when we saw his name on the resignation honours list.”

Today, Theresa has secured a knighthood for Robbie Gibb, another former-Beeboid-turned-No 10-spinner. Sir Craig is now struggling forward on a penance from PR consultancy Blue Teneo Rubicon; perhaps another such exotically-named company can step forward and prevent Sir Robbie from too many public-speaking engagements.

Elsewhere in the May list, gongs for her diabetes specialist, endocrinologist Ian Gallen, and her GP Dr Debbie Milligan.

  2. It is great to see Ian Gallen recognized for his dedicated work in diabetes care within the honors list. Managing such conditions effectively is vital, and it reminds me how important it is to schedule a professional endocrinologist appointment for consistent health monitoring.
