Is there an appetite for all this NEWS ? The first Andrew Neil show on BBC2 last night averaged 800k viewers; that, on a normal weekday, would probably have just edged ahead of C4 News, but we don't have a rating.
On Tuesday night, at 10.14pm, enough people wanted largely unmediated coverage of Parliament for the BBC Parliament channel to peak at 725,800 viewers. On Monday night, the all-new-graphics Newsnight peaked at 970k (we don't have an average). Tuesday night's 10pm bulletin on BBC1 averaged 4.5m (a 30.7% share of the available audience.
