Four weeks to go to the only exit that matters - John Humphrys leaving the Today programme. The Welsh terrier's not taking a break; his departure coincides with the publication of his memoirs, A Day Like Today, and a ferocious UK book tour.
He wrote 140,000 words in six months. By my calculations, that's about 16 Today programme item cues a week. Fans will be looking forward to his thoughts on the Gilligan broadcast on the Iraq dossier that led, over time, to the Hutton Inquiry; and perhaps a chapter on his reverse vasectomy.
