Two Today programme whinges. There were important areas to explore about the power failure, but JH got obsessed with the idea that wind generation is unreliable. It may be, but the issue was the dramatic load-shedding. If you lost electricity yesterday, you've learned that the Grid's algorithms have you down as expendable, at least in the short term. The question is why King's Cross, Newcastle Airport, Ipswich Hospitable and a million other users are deemed second-rate.
Second, could producers please play a recording of the paper review back to Humphrys and Robinson ? If they're going to regard it as a six-furling run for skittish fillies, then let's not bother.
