An emerging recruitment trend from the thought-leaders at BBC HR: not, apparently, a formal ad, application and interview board process, but EOI - a request for "expressions of interest". These were most recently used to find a new presenter for Question Time, and to start the process for Controller Radio 4, but now are to be found in a wide range of short-term entry roles.
I'm sure the unions will be interested to understand exactly who this process benefits....
