"I’m looking forward to seeing the RAJAR results this week to see the impact of the new stations and new formats we have seen in recent months." Thus DCMS minister Margot James at the Radio Festival earlier this week.

A number of radio 'experts' have taken part in a sweepstake for the reach of Virgin-Radio-now-with-added-Chris-Evans. The station's previously three-month figures gave an average weekly reach of 447k - the sweepstake spread runs from 550k to 2.45m, with one outlier at 14.8m (the most recent figure for Radio 2).
