Guardian hackette Tara Conlan tells us that BBC Chairman Sir David Clementi was in the aircraft hangar at Dunsfold, Surrey for the latest all-new version of Top Gear, hosted by Freddie Flintoff, Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris.
Not bad if the 70-year-old stood up like the rest of the audience during this first 'studio' recording. More impressive - Sir David had a ride round the test track, driven by The Stig.
Perhaps Sir David is thinking of upgrading his motor/s. He had a 2.5% stake in online payments company WorldFirst, which was taken over in February by Chinese firm Ant Financial. Around £14m, we estimate....
