Congratulations to Justin Rowlatt, anointed as BBC News' Chief Environment Correspondent. Justin, 52 (Hampstead Comprehensive, and PPE Mansfield College, Oxford) has previous in this area. In 2006, Newsnight editor Peter Barron invited him to report as "Ethical Man". Justin (and his family) sought to reduce their carbon footprint over a year - and managed a 20% reduction.
Justin recently took his wife Bee for a weekend in Chernobyl - and managed to get a couple of pieces out of it. Based twixt Kentish Town and Tufnell Park, Justin revealed to Twitter last year that he's decided on life without a car.
