The re-invention of BBC Smooth Wales continues apace. Carol Vorderman's generous posterior is to fill the Saturday late morning chair from June. This will replace two hours of "Great 80s Hits" hosted by Korkey and Eggsy.
Korkey is Chris Corcoran, a stand-up comedian who came to Radio Wales as a co-host for Rhod Gilbert. Eggsy is John Rutledge, a member of Newport's finest rap ensemble, the Goldie Looking Chain. Radio Wales has a weekly reach of 360k listeners, down from 373k a year ago.
