Bite-size

BBC foodies will be pleased to learn that a new tenant has been found for the old Villandry at 170 Great Portland Street. The Aqua Restaurant Group has won planning permission to run an 80-cover Japanese; a 72-cover cafe; a 68-cover dim sum 'library'; and a deli with 14 seats, spread over the the ground floor and basement. The 'library' will also feature some private dining rooms.

Various bits will be open from 7am to midnight.  The Aqua Restaurant Group has 25 sites around the world; in London, there's Aqua Shard and Hutong within the Shard, and Aqua Kyoto, Aqua Nueva and Aqua Spirit at 240 Regent Street. The group operates its dim sum 'library' concept in Hong Kong.
