Settled ?

Broadcasting diversity campaigner Simon Albury says a long running employment tribunal between Saleem Patka and the BBC has finally been settled out of court, with a hearing in sight this month.

Mr Albury has published his planned witness statement on behalf of Mr Patka. The case started over three years ago, with lengthy challenges about whether the claim was about direct or direct indiscrimination over pay. Mr Patka's latest legal arguments centred on World Service pay in general, historically lower than in other network journalism departments, and where there was a majority of BAME staff.
