Bore da

Some entertaining tap-dancing by Colin Paterson, boss of Radio Wales. A famous old brand goes soon - Good Morning Wales, currently boasting a rotating cavalcade of presenters, is to be replaced by Breakfast with Claire Summers from mid-May.

Claire starts at six, meaning a weekday exit for 58-year-old Mal Pope, presenter of 'early breakfast'. Oliver Hides is shifted to the new BBC weekend - Friday and Saturday.

Colin notes that commercial behemoth Global is ending regionally presented breakfast shows soon - dropping Polly James  and Matt Lissack on Capital, Jagger and Woody on Heart, and Gary King at Smooth.

Claire, 45, has been presenting and reporting for Wales Today on the telly. Radio Wales' latest weekly reach is 316,000, with a 4% share of radio listening in Wales.
