Early turkey

BBC1 presses on with its bid to attract under 35s, with a new one-hour special featuring Take That - Gary 47, Mark 46, and Howard, 50. Spookily, the special will coincide with the November launch of their next Greatest Hits album, Odyssey (featuring re-worked 'classics' and three new songs), neatly released in time for Christmas, and ahead of a 30th Anniversary Tour starting in April 2019 (tickets on sale soon).

Take That's first Greatest Hits album came in 1996, followed by "Never Forget: The Collection" in 2005, and The Platinum Collection in 2006.

This new show will be made by Indigo TV. It comes via BBC Entertainment, rather than BBC Music. According to the press release, Take That are capable of speaking as a single entity, and said "Has it really been 30 years? There’s only one way to find out we said, as we accepted the offer of taking a closer look at our three decades in music. We’ve handed over our own personal camcorders from the 90s, we’ve asked fans to share their stories from over the years and we’re bringing the story up to date by sharing some behind the scenes from our lives today as we prepare for the launch of our Greatest Hits record".
