Radio 2, the public service broadcasting station which still can't quite afford 24-hour live broadcasting, and boasts five of the nine top-paid presenters at the BBC, is sending DJs to Ibiza for a weekend at the end of June.
Former showjumper Lewis Carnie, the man from Montrose now bestriding the network, says "Ibiza has been a favourite holiday destination for our listeners for years, so I'm delighted that Radio 2 will be heading there for the first time."
It will all be very different from the Radio 1 Ibiza weekend, at the start of August. Won't it ?
