The BBC has announced a partnership with podcast platform Acast to put ads front and back of its audio content consumed outside the UK.
Acast is a Swedish audio technology company founded in 2013 by Karl Rosander, Mans Ulvestam, and Johan Billgren. It's most famous on the podcast front in the UK as the home of comedy show My Dad Wrote a Porno. The company's ambition is to be the podcast equivalent to Youtube for video.
Acast has just signed a deal to be carried on Sync3, Ford's in-car-entertainment system (where you'll also find Radioplayer and Waze, amongst others.
