Are we finally on the verge of HR transformation at the BBC ? Will Unpredictability Allowances, etc, finally bite the dust ?
The BBC has advertised for an Internal Communications and Engagement Lead: "This particular role is focused on a review of terms and conditions for all staff. This is a complex and sensitive project that needs a strong communication and engagement strategy." You bet. Interviews week beginning 13th March. It is apparently a six-month contract and requires the "ability to work flexibly under pressure with ever-shifting timescales". But you won't get paid for that, obvs.
Meanwhile HR boss Valerie Hughes D'Aeth still travels the country with her "I've transformed the BBC" slideshow - this week at the Association of Colleges HR Conference in Nottingham.
