Today, 72 MPs have signed a round-robin organised by Julian Knight, the Tory member for Solihull, moaning, without citing evidence, that BBC News is still skewed against Brexit. "We fear that, by misrepresenting our country either as xenophobic or regretful of the Leave vote, the BBC will undermine our efforts to carve out a new, global role for this country."
Julian started out writing for Moneywise, the magazine that was originally an Observer supplement. He joined the BBC Business Unit in 2002, and left in 2007, working for the Independent and writing books. Here are some of his tweets as ukmoneyguru, from the period he was cultivating the voters of Solihull as prospective candidate. I hope they demonstrate something of both the inner Julian and his rigorous approach to journalism.
