HR Magazine has been running its HR Most Influential award for eleven years, without apparently noticing the lack of a noun.
I'm delighted to report that Valerie Hughes D'Aeth of the BBC (careful how you read that out) has nudged up to Number 2 in 2016 list, having been stuck at Number 3 for two years. She's "someone who, despite working in a high-profile and complex organisation, manages to find the time to give back to the profession via speaking, mentoring and networking. Valerie Hughes D’Aeth, HR director of the BBC, was praised for being unafraid of a challenge and admired by her peers."
Whilst at Amey, Val came 10th in 2012, dropping back to 13th in 2013. Perhaps she wasn't spending enough time networking...
