BBC Chair Rona Fairhead is appearing at Fortune's fifth Most Powerful Women Conference in London in a week's time. In tune with Fortune's penchant for understatement, the session is entitled "The Most Difficult Job In The Media". Lord Hall's job may thus be defined as the second most difficult, working with Rona.
The conference, at the Rosewood Hotel, for a total fee of $2,200, offers dinner, then more talking. "How to save the world from catastrophe" - 'Speaker to be announced'. The evening ends with 'Standup', from the Chancellor's wife, Frances Osborne.
