It's hard to tell how the new Evans/LeBlanc Top Gear played out on BBC America on Monday night. It certainly didn't make the Nielsen Top 100 of cable shows, suggesting something below the 750k mark.
Meanwhile on the History Channel, Top Gear USA, with American hosts, is chuntering along at around 970k per episode. Season 8 is currently running on Tuesday nights, but of course, peppers schedules for long after the first run. The History Channel is run by former BBC tv boss Jana Bennett; Jeremy Clarkson used to be billed as an executive producer of the US version.
