Congratulations to Tom Fussell (Westminster School and B.Sc Economics, Bristol) on his appointment as CFO at BBC Worldwide. He'll support iron man CEO Tim Davie, as they set off together in search of new profits, which are supposed to deliver £1.2bn cumulatively back to Auntie over the next five years.
Tom speaks Farsi, which may help. His wife is mezzo-soprano Sally Bruce-Payne.
