Sky is making bigger profit margins out of its customers across Europe. Figures for the last nine months show operating profit rose by 12% to £1.143bn, on turnover up 5% to £8.7bn, from a customer base that has increased by around 1%.
Average revenue per customer in the UK is £47 a month - £564 a year, compared with the tv licence fee of £145.50.
