A slightly upbeat record of the week on distinctive Radio 2 amongst all that country stuff we love - Cake By The Ocean, by DNCE, led by Joe Jonas, written and produced by Swedish duo Mattman and Robin. The title is apparently taken from a Swedish mistranslation of "Sex on the beach"; the original lyric exhorted the audience to "go f**cking crazy". Now Joe wants you to "go crazy crazy", and "goddamn" has been replaced by "hot damn".
It was actually first released last year, rising to 42 in the UK charts. It's been number 1 in Belgium, Mexico and Poland. The group are on the mighty Universal roster, and are due to perform at a number of UK festivals this summer, for which tickets are now on sale.
