The current Editor of The Archers, once accused of turning the serial into 'Eastenders in a field' by Lord Hall (who later apologized personally), is taking over at.....Eastenders.
Sean O'Connor, 48, has written Walford storylines before, as well as working on Hollyoaks. He succeeds Dominic Treadwell-Collins who seems to have left rather abruptly, despite saying he wanted to go last summer. Maybe he'd run out of characters willing to be resurrected. Tributes to both men for their work to date are super-effusive in the press release, which always makes one suspicious.
