The final final of The X Factor recovered some of its missing millions, attracting 8.4m (34.4% share) in the overnight figures for Sunday's show. But that's still the lowest conclusion to a series it started in 2004, and dramatically below the 2010 peak of 17.2m (54.9% share) when Matt Cardle beat Rebecca Ferguson and One Direction to the first prize.
Strictly's Sunday results show was watched by 10.8m.
