Long-standing readers will know how much I look forward to the revelation of the venue for BBC Alba's Hogmanay party. (2011 here, 2013 and 2014 here)
This year, they have selected The Byre at Inchyra, a barn converted to wedding/function space on the 150-acre Perthshire Estate of Lord and Lady Inchyra.
According to their website, one of their big selling points is their toilet facilities - styled the poshest in Perthshire: "Our loos are frankly fabulous. We’ve thought of everything - even a zoned sound system so you can play separate music in here. There’s cosy underfloor heating... gorgeous Scottish Fine Soaps… recycled wood thunderbox seats and stable doors with handmade iron door handles… and original Country Life photographic plates on the walls, found on the Estate."
Outside the lavs, the Hogmanay musical entertainment will come from Skipinnish, who say they offer "a unique and sublime mix of authentic Highland tradition and contemporary sounds", and the Glenfinnan Ceilidh Band.
Alternatively, Radio Scotland promises dance music, live from the top of Pacific Quay, from Ceilidh Minogue, a name to make you chuckle since 1995.
