- ITV's late evening bulletin, now known as News at Tom, running last night at 22.15, attracted 1.9m viewers in the overnight returns. The BBC's 10 O'Clock bulletin scored 5.3m.
- Belatedly caught up with "Suffragette", and took mild pleasure in spotting that lovely Dave Arch, lovely lovely leader of the Strictly band, played the piano for the soundtrack.
- Not much intel on the World At One 50th Birthday Party this week, apart from sightings of two sorts of branded cup cake, a film which wasn't entirely right behind one famous presenter, Sir Robin Day, and no mention, apparently, of 1989-93 Editor, Roger Mosey. How will the programme fill now, without all those tribute features ?
