The man makes sacrifices. Alan Yentob will be missing at least some of Glastonbury this year, for a trip to Venice. There, next Thursday, he will be in conversation with hard-to-pin-down-and-rarely-available writer Howard Jacobson, as part of the Shakespeare in Venice Summer School: The Shylock Project, which takes place in the Fondazione Giorgio Cini on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore.
Alan, billed in the programme as journalist and presenter, will not be alone on the BBC side. 'We are happy to welcome the BBC who will
film parts of the proceedings for their program “Imagine” (BBC1).'
