The BBC seems to have decided there's no point being too pro-active about the licence fee - what they need is "reactive" support. So they're looking for a PR specialist to fend off  handle enquiries on the funding stream. Sometimes, the post holder will be allowed to be pro-active, but generally, other people do that.

There is some confidence, though, at Auntie - the job is described as permanent.
