Australia's SBS benefitted from the country's temporary visa for the Eurovision Song Contest. 4.2m watched either the semi-finals or the finals over the weekend, compared with 2.7m last year. 263,000 stayed up overnight to watch the final live in the wee hours.
Guy Sebastian (King's Baptist Grammar, Adelaide; incomplete studies in radiotherapy at the University of South Australia and music technology at the University of Adelaide) came fifth with his song "Tonight Again".
