Ah, the magic of "re-investment". Outsiders might think BBC News is down to a mere skeleton of its former self, thanks to the implementation of the bathetic Delivering Quality First cuts. Yet, according a Freedom of Information enquiry response, the division has shed just 26 jobs in three years.
On March 31 2013, the headcount, across Network News, English Regions, World Service and Monitoring stood at 7340. On March 31 2015, the headcount was 7314.
