I'm not going to clutter up the blog with another share tracker (see Fairhead, right) but I will report on a Whittingdale ISA over the months ahead. On your behalf, I've notionally invested £3k each in Sky, ITV, BT, Trinity Mirror and Johnston Press (the big radio groups are all private) at the prices quoted at 1030 on Monday 11 May. David Cameron tweeted the appointment of the new Culture Secretary at 1029 that morning. £240 is left for transaction fees.
At 0800 today, we're off the top to the tune of £194, but the FTSE 100 has fallen 146 points over the same period. Early days, as we traders say...
