Frissons of excitement at Sky News, where coiffed boss John Ryley has announced the impending arrival of Graham McWilliam as his number 2, from his current exalted role as Group Director, Corporate Communications.
Graham (King's School, Chester and Peterhouse, Cambridge) will apparently have a "non-editorial" role. Graham first started in meedja as an adviser on corporate strategy at the BBC in 1995 - the Birt era, and rose to become head of strategy at television, decamping to Sky as Greg Dyke arrived.
He's been a robust opponent of things Sky regard as "BBC mission creep", and tweeted cheerfully about "absorbing costs" in February after the £11m-per-match deal for live Premier League football.
