I don't want to be mean to Boomers, the retired person's comedy half-hour, but word of mouth is not helping it to build. Last night it returned figures of 2.86m (14.1% share) for Episode 3; that compares with the opener at 4.4m (21.9%). Again, it's not providing much of an inheritance of David Walliams' Big School.
None the less, Boomers shaded the return of the ever-popular Piers Morgan to ITV, with his Life Stories formula applied to Alesha Dixon. 2.31m (11.5%) gave it a go.
