Renaissance man and BBC Director of News James Harding takes to the airwaves next week, presenting an edition of the Radio 4 topical current affairs strand, The Report.
His subject is Pope Francis, and the programme features one of Francis' new chums, Eugenio Scalfari, founder of the newspaper La Repubblica - and an atheist.
The billing doesn't credit an Editor or a Producer - he probably doesn't need one - but the show is the work of the Radio Current Affairs team on the fourth floor of Broadcasting House. Let's hope that puts them in favour when James announces a new boss for Current Affairs later this week.
