Whoah ! The love-hate relationship between the BBC and the Daily Mail takes another uncomfortable twist. BBC Worldwide, in the form of BBC America, has bought a sponsored article - so-called "native advertising" - in the Mail Online, to big up the US tv screening of the paranormal thriller series Intruders. The series has yet to be scheduled in the UK. More than a few readers of the Mail Online here will be surprised to see "Sponsored by BBC" in the sidebar of shame, and be entertained to know how much the transaction cost.
Maybe Tim and Tony should talk...
