Radio Today has got it hands on latest listening figures for the Mark Forrest Show, the Delivering Quality First solution to cuts in BBC Local Radio in England. The programme launched in January last year, networked across all stations from 7pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday, except when there's live commentary on local sport.
The show now reaches 1,166k listeners each week – compared to 1,607k in the first quarter of 2014. Share of listening fell to 4.6% from 6.2% over the same period. At its peak, the time-slot had nearly 2 million listeners and a share of 7.4%. The ratings are the lowest for the Monday to Friday evening slot since the current audience research methodology began in June 2007.
