From Greenford altar boy to Papal advisor: Lord Patten of Barnes CH is not averse to some of the flummery that goes with Catholicism. Last year he was decreed Knight Grand Cross of Merit of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George (British and Irish delegation).

It was a bumper year for the Order, marking the 1700th anniversary of Emperor Constantine’s Edict of Milan of 313AD and the 50th anniversary of the Constantinian Order’s recognition by the President and Government of the Italian Republic. The Grand Master of the Order is His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro, who lives between Monte Carlo, Rome and Paris.

Just another groovy uniform for the Patten walk-in wardrobe...
