FOI factoids: excluding the BBC Executive and other top brass, median pay for men in 2012 at Auntie worked out at £36,740 across all grades; and for women, it was £33,476.
Drilling down, median pay for male managers graded at the top SM1 level was £160,000 whereas for women on the same grade, it was £148,723. On the next grade down, SM2, the women did better, at £97,647, compared with £95,000 for men. The BBC says it's still working on 2013 data.
