One can't imagine that there was spontaneous Highland dancing in the Scotsman offices this weekend, with the news that their new home is to be the triangular lump that is Orchard Brae House, looming over the Queensferry Road in Edinburgh.
It's two miles from their current base, at Barclay House, Holyrood Road - which is less than a wee half and half from the seat of Scottish Government. Staff will also note that Johnston Press is downsizing its space requirement in Edinburgh, from 75,000 square feet at Holyrood Road, to 30,000 square feet over the top two floors of Orchard Brae House.
Fellow tenants include French IT giants, SOPRA; SeeByte, suppliers of software that helps underwater military, gas and oil operators; Marsh insurance brokers; and Epilepsy Scotland. Nearest drinking hole appears to be the Cafe Bar of the Travel Lodge Learmonth - nice.
