It would, apparently, take the BBC more than two and half days to work out how many new jobs it has created in 2012 and 2013 - so they're not prepared to answer this Freedom of Information enquiry. And they don't keep central records of how many jobs are filled without competition. How handy.
If I was a DG short of money, I might want to track jobs created, as well as jobs cut. Wouldn't you ? Otherwise, you might have to cut a channel or something out of the blue...
