From The Telegraph, 25 December:
Television licence enforcement officers are three times more likely to be attacked by an angry householder than by an animal, BBC figures suggest. Inspectors .....were physically assaulted by members of the public 271 times between 2008 and October this year.
By contrast, the officials were savaged by dogs and other animals on only 89 occasions over the same period.
