Big jobs

Less than a week to go if you want to bash in an application to sit at Tim Davie's right hand at BBC Worldwide.

They don't do undercooked titles there - this one is Global Editorial Director, and the first of the job "purposes" is to "promote and manage editorial alignment between BBC Worldwide and BBC Public Service by advancing the BBC’s public purposes globally through our content, as well as ensuring that BBC Worldwide’s editorial brands complement that of the BBC".

The previous holder, Liam Keelan, stuck less than a year at it; he's moving in January to become "Director of Scripted" - Worldwide's code for drama and comedy. This may or may not involve travel to Los Angeles, so beloved of BBC top brass.

A requirement for his replacement is clear - applicants must have had experience of pay tv. Got that, Osterley ?
