You know that bit where the BBC appointed Anne Bulford as Managing Director, Finance and Operations?
On a package of £395,000, which was o.k. because "The role will now combine the two posts of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer."
Those posts belonged to Zarin Patel (on a final annual package of £337,000) and Caroline Thomson (on a final annual package of £328,000).
Anne is supported by Dominic Coles as Director of Operations, on a package of £307,800. And she has advertised for a new Chief Financial Officer, to report to her, managing 400 staff, and graded Senior Management 1, though the salary is not disclosed.
The Bulford/Coles duo already costs £37,800 more a year than the Patel/Thomson partnership. How much will the CFO add ?
