As ex-DG Thommo soldiers on with his Oxford lectures on persuasion (tonight 5pm in the Chapel, St Peter's College, Oxford, the frighteningly apposite "Not in my name"), three oppos are gunning for him.

Rob Wilson, MP for Reading East (and now, spookily, Jeremy Hunt's PPS) tweets provocatively yesterday thus...Had a fascinating letter from #ITV's boss Adam Crozier late yesterday re documentary on Savile.  The journalists at The Daily Mail respond, and run this morning's story that it wasn't just press office to press office when ITV asked for a BBC response to their Savile findings; it was apparently CEO to CEO.

It's bad enough when the Thompson defence of "unknowing" is that he doesn't read all his emails; really unfortunate echoes of James Murdoch. It's much worse if it's shown he didn't pick up on letters from rival CEOs.
