Go figure

Maths remains a puzzle to me. Zarin Patel, BBC CFO, restated to MPs last week that the BBC had made 6,000 staff redundant since 2005.

The headcount of staff on permanent and fixed term contracts in December 2005 was 22,111. The headcount on October 31st 2012 was 19,894. The reduction - 2,207.  Does this mean nearly 4,000 jobs with new titles have been created over the period ?  Truly transformational.
