At times of organisational stress, it's useful to have the continuing support of an HR professional. But, in the midst of the Savile ruckus, with opinion on Newsnight's performance split inside and outside BBC News, Director Helen Boaden is looking for a new personnel boss.
Richard Thurston, who came via ITV and Global News to the job in only February this year, is off. The role spec is not enticing...tough objectives which "will also result in the closure of between 700 and 800 full time posts across five years and see staff seeing new terms and conditions including a pay and grading reform".
